November

hello and welcome to november of 2023. i’ve been busy with rl things but music has never been better. as you might know, i started a new lofi hip hop project ‘prtnd’ and I’ve finished up that debut album. I was releasing once a month but i’ve decided to roll out the rest of the album on the new year. for now you can listen to half of them on spotify and all of it on soundcloud:

now that my album is complete, i’ve been working on some new auracane music. since my lofi hip hop needs have been taken care of I’ve been back at making chill trap and I’ve decided to put together the finest EP I’ve ever created. I’m aiming for 5 tracks, starting with the debut track curio city, coming out later this month. you can presave it here: presave

This is the first track I’ve made in ableton and i’m enjoying the DAW switch. i’ve learned that new instruments, controllers and workstations inject new life into my creative process and gives me the joy of learning and doing something new which usually brings out the best in me.

as far as art, i’m taking a break from it. it no longer brings the joy it once did, but i realize it’s because it became stagnant. the great shift away from photographic art on social media has been a big contributor, and my desire to learn video editing is next to none, but I do aspire to create it differently. I’ve been teaching myself the workings of unreal engine 5 in hopes to not only make a video game, but a new outlet for creating art.
